Fall is here!!

Okay, so this is actually a picture from the Internet--San Antonio is looking much greener these days! However, I must admit that as much as I love the perfect San Antonio fall/winter weather, I do miss the fall! I just love the crackling color-changing leaves, the nippy smell of the air at harvest time, warm spiced cider, pumpkin pie, cinnamon spice candles, wearing mittens and jackets, going to football games, sitting on bales of hay, and just enjoying the change in weather. Well, yesterday I got goose bumps when I went outside and Tyson and I have both worn jeans or long pants for the past two days in a row! I just thought we had to commemorate! It's a beautiful day!

Here is Provo Canyon after the leaves have changed and yes, it is even more breath-taking when you're there!

So to all of you who are dreading the onset of the cold winter...at least enjoy it now! It's so beautiful!!

Josh said...: You had the chance to go to Michigan for Dental School. The midwest is by far the most impressive place for fall colors, if it were not so gray and depressing the rest of the time. In Montana, Fall is too short, Utah does not have enough trees, but in the midwest it is everywhere and amazing. Oh well, maybe for the orthodontics program... :); September 25, 2009 at 9:34 PM

The Articles of Faith of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

1. We believe in God, the Eternal Father, and in His Son, Jesus Christ, and in the Holy Ghost.

9. We believe all that God has revealed, all that He does now reveal, and we believe that He will yet reveal many great and important things pertaining to the Kingdom of God.
10. We believe in the literal gathering of Israel and in the restoration of the Ten Tribes; that Zion (the New Jerusalem) will be built upon the American continent; that Christ will reign personally upon the earth; and, that the earth will be renewed and receive its paradisiacal glory.
11. We claim the privilege of worshiping Almighty God according to the dictates of our own conscience, and allow all men the same privilege, let them worship how, where, or what they may.
12. We believe in being subject to kings, presidents, rulers, and magistrates, in obeying, honoring, and sustaining the law.
13. We believe in being honest, true, chaste, benevolent, virtuous, and in doing good to all men; indeed, we may say that we follow the admonition of Paul—We believe all things, we hope all things, we have endured many things, and hope to be able to endure all things. If there is anything virtuous, lovely, or of good report or praiseworthy, we seek after these things.
